Tips to Help You Remember Your Dental Appointment

Posted .

Do you have a hard time remembering your dental appointment? If so, your smile pays the consequences. Your dental checkups are very important for your oral health. In fact, they are necessary to prevent gum disease and other dental issues. So, it’s best to remember your appointments and attend them every six months. To help you remember, our dentists, Dr. Melissa Maus, encourages you to do the following things:

-Set a reminder on your phone: This is as easy as it sounds. All you need to do is enter your appointment into your phone calendar. As you do so, set an alarm on the event for the day before or an hour before the appointment. It’s easiest if you enter the event right when you schedule your appointment at our office.

-Schedule your appointment at a time that fits your lifestyle: If you have other “needs” every six months, like landscaping chores, your dog’s vet appointment, or even your children’s dental appointments, then you should schedule your dental appointment around the same time. That way you can knock out all of these “To-Do” tasks at the same time. Also, if you tend to get busy toward the end of the year, it’s best to schedule the appointment before December so you don’t have to stress about your schedule.
